Benico Choji
Born in 1991, Choji graduated from Joshibi University of Art & Design Department of Japanese painting in 2013. Paradoxically, she started her career as a jewelry designer. However, she had passion about her major “Traditional Japanese Painting”. Soon, she started to focus mainly on portraits artworks, painted by the technique of traditional Japanese painting. She tries to eliminate color as much as possible, and there is nothing in the background. By depicting an expressionless female figure, she creates a space for the viewer’s emotions to enter, someday the heart that was there will become a little more solid.
